get rich slow

Parking was never my strong suit.

But maybe the word “park” itself is the problem.  It doesn’t seem right that we should use the same word to talk about the great beautiful outdoorsy space and something you do with your car.  Then again, you can park your kayak.  Well, some people can.  Others have difficulty.

This weekend’s parking mishaps involved a few miscalculations with the tides, but all ended well.  Better than well, actually.  Salmon and porcupines wiggled and waddled.  Flies nipped, Devils clubbed, berries were foraged, the banana slugs fled in panic underfoot.  Hey hey, you’re in BC now!

Also did up a little time lapse video.  Pushing my luck with the camera on the kayak deck… (steady as she goes, cap’n!).  The Cat Empire singing the Car Song… (click on the thingy to see it).

Thanks to Arianne for the photos… and also for tying up the kayak properly!  (…and there was a bear)
