deadpan november

Just received and scanned up a batch of film.  A joyous occasion.

Shots from this Fall, Northern British Columbia.  Road trip, radio trivia will stick with me some years, grey days in there, running into November.  Nothing too thrilling subject-wise, not in this batch.   Many shot with a Mamiya 7 II film camera… master of deadpan in the photographic world.  A disturbingly honest apparatus, the shutter a deathly quiet <tic>.  Like a clock, ticking down.

It is November after all.  The year’s Thursday.  Post-mortem month.  All the other months keep a respectful distance.  Tread lightly, quietly to December.
