It strikes me as ironic that those voices most given to droning on about the need for jobs, jobs, jobs… well they tend to belong to folks who already have jobs.  Or for whom “Job” is a religion.  I guess they just need the constant reassurance that theirs is the Righteous Path.

Or something.

As with all beliefs, the dogma’s success rests entirely upon conducting a flock of followers to bray out the mantra in unison.  Job here is sacrosanct, Job is beyond question, and Job suffers no heretics.  And seeing as I seem to have fallen into a biblical rant, let’s not forget that other suffering Job – poor old Job could have done with a little positive reinforcement in his day.

“Maybe to Jobs”… seems a little more realistic.  Wiser and healthier, too.  Maybe.
