Excited to announce the opening of Get Rich Slow: A photographic series of contemporary landscapes that explore the ups and downs of boom bust economies and the stuff found in their wake.
Yep, that reception coincides with some other event in Russia. I know, I know… there must have been some mix up with the Olympic opening ceremonies. I hate to steal their flame, so to speak, but it so happens that I’ve already “done” the Olympic thing – no joke! Much to my own surprise and chagrin, I’ve actually hoisted 2010’s svelte synthetic torch aloft for a quick trot around the block. Long story – no pix, you’ll have to trust me – what was it like, the torch? Well, kind of like a chimney, but light and small and synthetic… (and folks… it burns out all the time!). They gave me a jumpsuit and everything, but I gave that to the Sally Ann.
Anyways, Get. Rich. Slow. If you absolutely can’t pull yourself away from the tube to join us opening night (perhaps you’re an olympic athlete, everyone needs a hobby!), then have a visit to the gallery from this series on my website:
Special thanks to the folks at the Smithers Art Gallery for their support in bringing this together!
