nothing is better than anything

My blog postings are few and far between these days but perhaps I just needed some imagery to soak a while, like a winter stew. The months of February and March can be a bit suspect where I live. Time seems to slow down even as you remark the changes from dawn to dawn, inching longer by minutes every day. Lately I’ve been out haunting the Skeena River, awakening now with the usual squeals and grunts and cries. Above it all, there’s this high silver hiss of rain on water. Funny, you only notice it after you stop noticing the fact that it’s raining.
